I recently had the opportunity to receive some airplay at a great radio station in Berryville, Arkansas, KTHS FM. My childhood friend, Tim Poynter, is the station manager there and he has really been in my corner the last couple of years. KTHS has played several cuts from my CD, "Ten For The Road" and I truly appreciate it. When Tim asked me for something patriotic for the Berryville 4th of July extravaganza, I decided to send him a wonderful song I wrote with Rick Cowling ( www.rickcowling.com ) a couple of years ago, "Christmas In July". Well, not only did KTHS air the song on the radio, they included it in their fireworks show as a part of the musical background. I even recorded an interview during which I dedicated the song to all the military members and families in the northwest Arkansas/southwest Missouri area. It was an absolute honor to be involved with Tim and the entire crew at KTHS-FM and they treated me with nothing but respect and appreciation. Just an awesome experience.
